He has been the recipient of two Laurence Olivier Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie and an Academy Award for Best Actor. Cumberbatch has also been nominated for five British Academy of Film and Television Arts, five Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Golden Globes.
