This gallery features a young Ray Liotta, mainly during his early twenties and thrities during the 1970s and early 1980s. Born on December 18, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey, he was adopted when he was six months old. He has a sister who was also adopted. He found his birth mother in the 2000s and discovered that his biological father had returned from the Korean War but didn’t want to get married. His parents decided they couldn’t afford a child, so they resorted to giving him up for adoption. Liotta graduated from Union High School in 1973 then received a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Miami in 1978. He performed in several musicals during his years at college. He moved to New York City and was working as a bartender and found an agent within six months. His first television role was on the soap opera Another World, in which he starred from 1978 to 1981. His most famous roles are Goodfellas and Field of Dreams.
