There are youthful mistakes such as Drew Barrymore and Tom Green or Rachel Even Wood and Marilyn Manson. But then there are the super nova weird Hollywood couples such as Edward Norton and Courtney Love, and Billy Corgan and Tila Tequila. We may not know the reasons why these famous couples got together, but we do know that Adam Duritz and David Spade were getting all of the hottest ladies at one point in time. Roger Ebert & Oprah Winfrey
Their two dates didn’t turn into a long term relationship but they did make Oprah the reigning queen of daytime TV and a living legend. Ebert recounts how he advised her on taking a deal with either ABC or King World. On their date at Hamburger Hamlet, Ebert did some simple math and showed Winfrey just how much each syndication deal would make her. She made up her mind in 10 seconds. “I’m going with King World.” They may not have waltzed down the aisle but we do have Ebert to thank, in part, for Oprah.

Also… Coldplay. Still, every major Hollywood outlet lost their minds when these two began dating after the conscious uncoupling of Martin and Gywneth Paltrow. When they split, J-Law will probably just say, “We broke up, dude.”

M-Rod’s sexual experimentation was not the surprise when she rolled up with Zac Efron. Her relationship with Cara Delevingne was quite public. But when Efron and Rodriguez appeared to be an item, the world had a meltdown with every major media outlet doing a collective double take. Both delightful and odd, this famous couple was completely unexpected. There was the 23 year age difference and Dawson’s penchant for dating hunky types.
