As each day is crossed off the calendar, more news about celebrities who were recently arrested pops up online. Whether they were driving drunk, assaulting their loved ones, or simply acting the fool, famous people can not stop getting popped for their over-the-top misdeeds. But as long as they stay in the news then who cares, right? It’s always surprising when you get online and see the news, “celebrity arrested today,” but what’s even more juicy is who the celebrities arrested were. It’s never George Clooney that gets caught in a theater getting up to no good, you know? You might recognize some of these 2016 celebrity arrests as the famous people arrested in 2015, and you better believe there are going to be repeat offenders on this list of celebrities that have been arrested.
When you think of celebrity current events, award shows are probably the first thing to come to mind. But red carpet events only make up a small portion of the goings on of the rich and famous. And when they’re not walking down a red carpet, it seems like most of them are busy getting arrested. Celebrity arrests are always big news. Donald Fagen
January 4th, 2016: The famously obtuse singer/songwriter for dad jazz band (and former Coachella headliners) Steely Dan started off the new year with an arrest for allegedly shoving his wife into a marble window frame. According to the police, Fagen was in the middle of a verbal argument with his wife when he grabbed her by the arms and pushed her to the ground. He was arraigned on one count each of assault and harassment and released without bail.

January 17, 2016: Seventy-year-old Don McLean was arrested in Maine on misdemeanor domestic violence charges. The "American Pie" singer was released on $10,000 bail, and no further details were immediately given about the incident.

Nick Carter
January 13, 2016: Backstreet Boy Nick Carter was arrested in Key West, Florida and charged with battery. Reports say that Carter and a friend were cut off by the bartender at Hog's Breath Saloon for being overly intoxicated. When asked to leave, Carter sucker punched the bouncer escorting them out.

Track Palin
January 18, 2016: Track Palin, the son of former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, was arrested on charges of fourth-degree assault, interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime, and possession of a firearm while intoxicated in Wasilla, Alaska. The 26-year-old U.S. Army veteran got divorced from his wife of one year in 2012. An investigation began into the possible domestic violence event.
